Fall 2024
The project involves the redevelopment of an underfunded and abandoned park in the periphery of Primavalle, Rome, transforming it into an indoor-outdoor market space that serves as a focal point for the community. The design enhances connectivity to the neighborhood’s major spines, positioning the site as a key node of activity. It incorporates permanent conditioned market spaces, offering local vendors flexible market spaces that adapt to varying needs and events. A large central piazza creates a versatile area for gatherings and cultural activities, encouraging social interaction and community cohesion. The design ensures the space remains vibrant and welcoming during the day, while promoting safety and accessibility at night, making it a sustainable hub that supports both local trade and community life.
